1 in 10 000 is the rarity of a 4-leaf clover among a patch of clovers

1 in 100 000 for a 5-leaf

1 in 1 000 000 for a 6-leaf

We grow Trifolium repens white clovers on our property and search our clover colonies daily to find that rare, unique, 1 in 10 000 specimen. When we find it, it is sealed in South African sourced resin, carefully prepared and cured. It then is fitted with a chain or ring and waits inside Its box for you, Its future owner to order it.

We use stainless steel as the base of our chains and clasps for several reasons. 1) It is much more strong and tolerates more force than many other metal alloys or pure gold and silver. 2) It can self heal in response to minor scratches. 3) Certain metals can cause skin rashes on sensitive skin, stainless steel does not do this. 4) Most importantly stainless steel was discovered in a lucky fashion.

Harry Brearley discovered the substance while trying to create a corrosion proof metal alloy for gun barrels in 1913.  He left all of his failed mixtures outside. One day upon returning to his metal dump he found that the mixture containing 12.8% chromium had not rusted like the other attempts. This mixture would later be called stainless steel. Even though he had not been successful in creating a corrosion proof material that he was looking for, he had been lucky enough to discover an incredibly important new substance. Our lucky necklaces include stainless steel as a reminder that sometimes the luckiest situations are not the situation that we were hoping for.
